Heid Music is looking for coaches for their week long summer camp, Rock U in Appleton, WI. These are temporary and independent positions that will work with young rockers aged 11-18 from August 5-9, 2024. If you are looking for a leadership position at a fun and interactive musical summer camp, Rock U is for you!

Rock U coaches will spend their days working with music students as they rehearse, participate in discussions, and attend workshops to prepare for a live rock performance on Friday evening, August 9, 2024. They will help students write lyrics and music for their original songs, fine tune students’ ensemble skills, and work with students to name their bands. Rock U coaches are also responsible for the safety and security of all camp attendees.

Qualified candidates will have previous experience working with students, preferably from classroom or private lesson teaching environments. Minimum of a high school diploma required; currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree is ideal. Experience or interest in rock, folk, and pop music, knowledge of music theory and aural skills, and understanding of songwriting is needed. Additional availability for evenings in mid-July for auditions is preferable. Successful completion of a background investigation is required.
